The 2.4m regular octagonal outline measured on the grass in the coop section, marked with little stones, represents the proposed outline for a chook-coop. The long diagonals, as indicated on the plan, should measure 6.27m each, with a constant internal angle of 135ยบ, giving a total enclosed floor area of 27.8 square metres. The laying and roosting enclosure will fit comfortably inside the Octagon.
The precise location of the Octagon can still be decided later.
